No one knows what’s in a man’s mind when he travels thousands of miles upon ground. For that maybe even Wilbur and Orville Wright brothers haven’t thought when, in December 17, 1903, performed the first flight ever with the plane that today is largely known as the “Wright Flight”. Millions of passengers travel around the world for business, for leisure, for important meetings or vacations. Thanks to Albanian Airlines as the first air company in Albania, Albanians fly free for mostly twenty years. What does an air traveler think indeed, when he’s thousands of meters upon earth? The sky is all his, his thoughts the same. The thoughts become intriguing so high upon ground… One of these thoughtful flights was when the representatives of the Albanian state at the Peace Conference in Paris flew in 1946. That’s what happens when nations’ fates are twisted up in the air. Later, after many years of efforts and expectations to join the United Nations Organisation, Albania was finally accepted. The other important flight was when deputies of the Albanian state flew towards Europe, just a year ago, when Albania became a NATO member. These are the great flights of Albanian deputies to mark an important event in history. But besides these, there are private travels as well. Travels of passengers around the world. You may even become friends with the other sitting next to you. In such a flight, the historian Arben Puto met the most outstanding Russian ballerina of Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Mrs. Olga Lepeshinskaya. She’s not living anymore, but in the professor’s memories is still her photo with a dedication on it. If you travel alone, it makes you turn your head to the passenger next to you. Whether reading a magazine or just staring out of the window, he will maybe become a rare friend. I do believe in casualties… I do believe that tiny things bring the great ones. So did I trust the project for a flight magazine. I was intrigued from the idea that this magazine will go down from the plane with you and maybe will be part of a collection. Make you forget about the flying hours, if you are afraid of altitudes, or maybe help you not to think about the distant place you are going to, or help you think of your beloved ones waiting for you down there. Flying with Albanian Airlines means flying with Sky Magazine. In our first flight together we welcome you. We’d like to believe that the next flight you’ll remember we’re here too.
We wish you a good flight by saying Thank You!
